Inside the 18-month registration for the full qualification.
Walbrook suggests FRE1, MRT1, FRE2, MRT2, then the ASEW/ASSC synoptic unit last, because the synoptic exam draws mainly on the mortgage units. That order is recommended, not required: you can sit units in any order, and many people already working in mortgages start with MRT1. Each unit is 50 hours of study, and registration lasts 18 months for the full qualification or 12 months per module. Old units that Walbrook recognises are listed in CeMAP exemptions; apply to Walbrook and get them confirmed before you register.
Sitting the moment practice scores touch 70%. Every unit's pass mark is 70% and each resit costs £120, so wait until fresh timed mocks put you at 80% or more.
For study and general guidance only, not tax, mortgage or financial advice. Figures checked 11 Oct 2026 against Walbrook Institute London (LIBF): CeMAP qualification. Rules change; confirm with the source before relying on a result.

Walbrook suggests FRE1, MRT1, FRE2, MRT2, then the ASEW/ASSC synoptic unit. It is a recommendation; you can sit the units in any order.
Walbrook estimates 250 hours, 50 per unit. At 10 hours a week that is about six months; your registration lasts 18 months for the full qualification.
Walbrook recognises some old units against the new ones, for example MLPP and MAPP against MRT1 and MAPC against MRT2. Apply to Walbrook and confirm your exemptions before you register.
