These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of MortgagePrep (the "Service"), an online study platform for candidates preparing for the CeMAP (Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice) examinations. The Service is operated and sold by [TODO for Kevin: seller's legal company name], a company registered in [TODO for Kevin: country of registration] (company number [TODO for Kevin: company number]), whose registered office is at [TODO for Kevin: registered address]("we", "us", the seller). UK VAT number: [TODO for Kevin: UK VAT number]. Contact: support@example.com. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
MortgagePrep provides practice questions, case studies, worked explanations, timed mock exams, study notes and progress tracking mapped to the published learning outcomes of the CeMAP units. The Service is for study purposes only.
MortgagePrep is an independent study tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Walbrook Institute London (formerly The London Institute of Banking & Finance, LIBF), the Financial Conduct Authority or any other examination or regulatory body. CeMAP® is a registered trade mark of its owner and is used only to describe the exam. All questions are original study material, not past or live exam questions. We do not guarantee that using the Service will result in passing any examination.
You must provide accurate information and keep your login details secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old to buy a pass.
Premium access is sold as a one-off pass, paid in advance through our payment processor, Stripe. Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include UK VAT at 20%; the price on the pricing page is the total you pay. Each pass gives access for a fixed period: 90 days (3-month pass) or 548 days, about 18 months (Until-you-qualify pass), starting when the payment is confirmed. A pass does not renew automatically. If you buy another pass, the extra time is added to any remaining access.
Pass promise: on the Until-you-qualify pass, fail a unit while your pass is active and we add 6 months, free. To claim, send us your Walbrook result notice for the unit through the feedback form or by email within 30 days of the result. We add 6 months to your pass, free, each time you fail a unit while it is active. The promise does not apply to the 3-month pass. The promise extends your access; it is not a refund and does not guarantee a pass.
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 you normally have 14 days to cancel a contract for digital content. Before you pay, you tick a box on the pricing page that reads: "I want my pass to start immediately, and I understand that once it starts I lose my 14-day right to cancel." By ticking it you ask us to start your pass straight away and acknowledge that, once access begins, you lose that right to cancel (regulation 37). We confirm this in the email we send when your pass starts.
If we start your pass without that request and acknowledgement, or do not confirm it, you keep the right to cancel within 14 days. Our Refund Policy also explains when we refund voluntarily. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, including your rights if the digital content is faulty.
You may use the Service for your own exam preparation. You may not copy, scrape, resell, redistribute or publicly share the content, share your account, use bots or automated means to access or collect it, use it to build another study product or to train an AI model, or attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer the Service. The questions, explanations and notes are our original work, protected by copyright. We may suspend or close an account that breaks this section.
We date and source the figures we use and review the content, but rules, rates and tax bands change. Study material may contain errors and is not legal, tax, financial or regulatory advice. Check current rules and the official exam specification before relying on any figure.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise we are not liable for losses that were not foreseeable, for business losses, or for exam outcomes, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the three months before the claim.
We may suspend or close accounts that breach these Terms. You may stop using the Service and ask us to delete your account at any time.
These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
