Home reversion plans and home purchase plans were brought into regulation on 6 April 2007, joining regulated mortgages within the 'home finance' rules of MCOB. Regulated mortgage contracts (including lifetime mortgages) were regulated from 31 October 2004; sale and rent back arrangements were fully regulated from 1 July 2010; consumer credit moved to the FCA on 1 April 2014.
