CeMAP Past Papers: What Exists and What to Use Instead
4 min read · facts checked 11 Oct 2026
Walbrook does not publish past CeMAP exam papers. Live questions stay confidential, and its fees page lists practice exams instead. A file sold or shared as a "CeMAP past paper PDF" is either unofficial or written for the old structure.
What Walbrook gives you
| Resource | What it is | Cost (as at 11 Oct 2026) |
|---|---|---|
| Practice exam | One per unit, in the real format | Included in registration |
| Extra practice exams | More specimen papers | £25 per unit or £40 per module |
| CeMAP Revision Tool (CRT) | Walbrook's question bank; includes the specimen exams | £90 FSRE module, £120 MORT and synoptic, £180 for all three |
Why old papers mislead
- The structure changed on 30 September 2025. UKFR became FRE1 and FRE2, and old CeMAP 2 became MRT1 and MRT2. An old paper has the wrong length, the wrong mix and no FRE case studies.
- Figures move every year: tax bands from each 6 April, FOS award limits from each 1 April, and the FSCS deposit limit rose to £120,000 on 1 December 2025.
- The Consumer Duty (PRIN 2A) now drives much of the conduct content. Papers written before it apply the wrong rules.
What to use instead
- Sit Walbrook's free practice exam for each unit near the end of your revision, under exam timing.
- Before that, use timed mocks in the real shape: 25 standalone questions plus 3 case studies of 5 for FRE1 and FRE2, 50 questions for MRT1, 40 for MRT2, and 6 case studies of 10 for the synoptic exam.
- Read every worked explanation, including for the questions you got right. Most marks are lost on the trap, not the topic.
